Access and filing help
Reference the expected session states and recovery steps before reporting an access problem.
Session access
Establish a staff session
- Open Employee Access.
- Enter a badge identifier and issue the six-character terminal code.
- Enter the code before its five-minute expiry.
- Confirm that Staff Services reports “Staff / TL-2 base.”
Badge identifiers and terminal codes are cleared after the access sequence. Only the generic accepted-session state is retained for the current browser tab.
Controlled information
Request temporary TL-3 access
- Open a controlled section or record and select Authorize.
- Select the working purpose and affirm need-to-know.
- Enter the separately issued authorization credential.
- Relinquish the grant when review is complete.
A TL-3 training grant does not satisfy TL-4+, named program, compartment, endorsement, or physical-access requirements.
Local records preparation
Prepare a new record
Start the project-local Filing Workstation, select a blank template, complete the fields, and review the guest, authorized, and print presentations. The workstation generates a package for repository review; it does not publish directly.

Expected outcomes

|---|---|---|
| Guest / released access | No base staff session is present. | Return to Employee Access. |
| Authorization not recognized | The credential did not match the local verifier. | Clear the field and use the issued credential. |
| Separate grant required | The record requires a level or control not represented by the training grant. | Use the released metadata only. |
| Content withheld | The record body is not present in the website. | No browser authorization can reveal it. |
